Born in Dublin, Lucy started her professional ballet training in Perm, Russia at the age of 14 and graduated 4 years later. Wanted to be closer to home she then continued her studies with Marika Bessobrasova in the Academie de Danse Princess Grace in Monte Carlo. She had the opportunity to dance in many ballet companies all over the world.
In 2003 contract in “The Phantom of the Opera” in Stuttgart brought Lucy to Germany and it was then that she started her Pilates teacher training with Davorka Kulenovic (http://www.pilates-newyork.de). Davorka was trained by Romana Kryzanowska, a Joseph Pilates protégé who was entrusted with his method. Training with Davorka in the original Pilates method was incredibly rigorous, with over 700 hours of observation, training and teaching, however it was also immensely rewarding.
After 8 years teaching Pilates in Frankfurt and starting her own family. Lucy made the brave leap to open her own studio in 2016. She hasn’t looked back, she feels very fortunate to have exceptionally disciplined and dedicated clients who make teaching a lot of fun. Lucy is very encouraging, and hopes to help her clients connect to their bodies on a deeper level and to push them to find their full potential.
Since 2005 Lucy has regularly attended workshops with renowned teachers such as Kathryn Ross-Nash, Sonje Mayo, Lori Coleman-Brown and Dorothee Vandewalle, (to name but a few). She is constantly expanding her knowledge so she can serve herself and her clients better. She also runs workshops for her own Pilates Teacher Training Programme (in collaboration with https://pilates-newyork.de/), not only to get inspired but also to get a fresh look at the method and keep the teaching and training in the Pilates studio at the highest level.
